Frequently asked

How do I make a voice?

Record something or upload an audio file. Recordings run from 12 seconds up to 2 minutes. If you don’t have a file, playing a video of that person and recording it works too. Once the voice exists, every line you write is read back in it, on as many alarms as you like. Adding a voice of your own needs a plan, and you can create one per month.

Does it ring in airplane mode or without internet?

Yes. Alarms use your phone’s own alarm scheduler and audio that was downloaded ahead of time. It doesn’t check with a server when it rings, so it works in airplane mode, underground, or with no data.

Do I still get snooze and weekday repeats?

Yes. Repeat days, snooze length and limit, vibration patterns, alarm sounds and skipping public holidays all work like any alarm app. The only difference is what you hear.

How far does my voice travel?

No further than the people on your Couple or Family plan. Groups are joined by invite code, and whoever receives a voice can only use it for alarms inside the app. There is no way to export the audio as a file.

What happens to my voice if I delete my account?

It is destroyed on our servers. If someone else has an alarm built from it, the voice is removed there too and the alarm falls back to an alarm sound. The alarm itself stays. The time is theirs.

Can I redo a voice I’m not happy with?

You can re-record as many times as you like before you confirm it. After that, you can register one voice per month, and deleting the one you made won’t give you another that month.

If I cancel, do I lose access right away?

No. Cancel in the store and you keep everything until the time you already paid for runs out. After that you move to the free plan, and alarms built from your own voice fall back to an alarm sound.

Are there forced missions, like math or photo challenges?

No. AlarmTalk would rather you opened your eyes because you wanted to hear the voice, not because something forced you.

Who actually uses this?

Two groups. Fans who want to wake up to their favorite idol, voice actor, or character, and seniors and long-distance families who want their child, grandchild, or partner’s voice every morning. Both share one thing: a specific voice they want to hear daily.

Which devices are supported?

Android is on Google Play now. The iOS app is being prepared for the App Store, and the App Store button on this page will open as soon as it’s live.
